Serving In Response to Crisis and Disaster
When disaster strikes, Madison Baptist Association (MBA) Disaster Relief (DR) Volunteers are at-the-ready to provide timely response and recovery assistance to those affected, always in a loving, compassionate way. Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus in helping to alleviate the pain and sorrow that affects so many in times of crisis, disaster and resulting personal loss. Our example is embodied in the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37. Our ultimate motivation is to win lost souls for Jesus Christ through our witnessing and selfless service to those in need.
MBA DR, a component of Alabama Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (AL SBDR), is comprised of volunteers from churches throughout Huntsville, Madison and surrounding Madison County who are trained/accredited in a broad array of disciplines applicable to disaster response and recovery. To learn about the Yellow Shirt Army (a reference brought about in acknowledgment of the yellow-colored attire worn by SBDR Volunteers), contact our DR Coordinator or visit https://sbdr.org/
